PROJECT'S TARGETS
Young, high-level athletes who train and compete throughout Europe face multiple risks, with lots of missing out on high quality education and training that could help them prepare for a new career after they retire. The European Commission is engaged in making sure that young, high-level athletes have the skills and knowledge they need in order to be able to smoothly move on from sport when the time comes. The Commission’s support for dual careers will ensure that young sportspeople receive an education and/or professional training alongside their sports training. It will also help European athletes perform well and compete at a high international level, while reducing the number who drop out of school, university and sport. Three-day seminars, trainings and workshops, meetings with international experts, visits on universities, meetings with athletes and sports managers. One-day participants' own presentations showing their own solutions and projects. Possible participation of national project managers. One-day participation in an open international conference organized by national partners. It is a great opportunity to establish contacts with national institutions, networking.
We cordially invite trainers working with teenagers who wish to improve their competence in supporting sportspeople in areas not directly connected with sports like education, self-development, career planning.
Communicative knowledge of English is required.
